The GS-AGRO Enterprises LTD team visited a packhouse in Kabati, Murang’a County, as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the infrastructure and partnerships required to support the export of high-quality Kenyan avocados to international markets.
From Farm to Packhouse
A successful avocado export programme requires more than sourcing quality fruit at farm level. Proper handling, grading, packing, quality control and preparation for shipment are critical stages in the export supply chain.
During the Kabati visit, the GS-AGRO Enterprises LTD team had the opportunity to observe packhouse operations and gain a better understanding of the processes involved in preparing fresh produce for international markets.
